Well I'm Back

So a couple of weeks ago I informed everyone that I was leaving for psi-7.

Well it was fantastic. One of the most amazing experiences of my life, will have to tell you about it later sometime.

Well when I got back, my parents picked me up from the airport. They had some bad news. My grandpa was
diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Well we assumed he had only a couple of months left to live. When I got back to Gunni, school bombarded me with makeup homework. I think I'm just now caught up on my exams, speeches, research papers, and art projects.

Well on Wednesday my grandpa got an infection and was dying, so Dad n I hightailed it to GJ to see him before he died. I was sad.

Well when I got back to school I still had so much makeup work to do.

Well Grandpa died Friday morning, so he's gone now.

Well Halloween weekend included working on assignments and hanging out with friends. I'm just now finally getting a chance to relax a little.

Well I've been rather busy running around with a love interest of mine, call us bf, gf, lovers, whatever we are what we are. But he's a lot of fun and so he keeps me rather preoccupied. So I'm not on deviant art near as much anymore, but that doesn't mean I haven't been drawing. I've just postponed my own personal projects for school ones.

But chaaaa I miss DA.

I know its an ongoing process. I try to absorb as much as possible but unfortunately there are also other thigns which I have to absorb and therefor art has to lose ground. I cannot hold them both to equal parts :( Its annoying

That's the trick is to not stop drawing. Everyone can draw, we all draw as children, the only thing that really makes a difference is whether you stop by the time you reach adult hood or continue.
I'm still learning a lot, and I have a long ways to go. So I try to absorb as much as possible

I was not that lucky. I had my mom but she stopped drawing after she failed the entrance exam for an art school. I failed as well but I didn't stop :D We have many artistic people in our family but only a few are drawing. Most are craftman and make beautyful handcraft pieces; jewelry, engraving, pottery, wood crafts, tailoring etc. :D I am sure I could learn a lot but they don't live that close to my place and many have already died like my great grand parents and some uncles. Its somehow a pitty. In highschool I had a friend I learned alot from here :iconenonea: especially techniques. I am sure I wont have come that far without her. Well and now there are the deviant artist :D and I learn a lot from books of old and new artists by watching their pictures. Sounds somehow strange :D but I start to try things then. You surely didn't want to hear my whole curriculum but I could kick myself because there are so many missed possibilities :D

My grandmother taught me how to paint. she does water color. I also learned from other more experienced artist in highschool.

I got the old ones from my mom. I loved them but one day they were empty. I don*t know many things. I am not an art student ^_^' i guess you leanr a lot of teniques which I have never heard about

I've never gotten the hang of water color pencils. Luckily we will be learningt hat in my water color class.

good to know ^^ i am usually using faber castell coloured pencils they are really good as well. They also have very nice water colour pencils.

well they're these really nice artist markers, you can get them at hobby lobby or any art store. But they're really expensive. Around $70 or more, but they are the best markers. If you want colored pencils, prisma is the way to go.
